Researchers found that cadets were:

  • More likely to get jobs
  • Succeed in their chosen career
  • Enjoy their leisure time
  • In the Social Survey conducted by the University of Hertfordshire units nationwide were canvassed for a snapshot of cadet life.

The survey will help plot the future course for the Corps and Dr Barbara Scott from the University's Social Science Dept who led the research team said: "It was encouraging to get such a positive response from keen young people.  Sea cadets certainly know where they are going."
