Give you the best fun you’ve ever had – with a serious side too. Along the way we’ll teach you life skills from cookery to computers, engineering, navigation and the art of seamanship.
Fit for life. There are sports and outdoor activities to get involved in and you will be able to impress your friends with newfound skills, make new shipmates and put your talent to the test. And there are plenty of opportunities to get away from it all by taking a trip on a real Royal Navy warship, sail before the mast aboard the Sea Cadet’s square rigged flagship TS Royalist or fly in a Navy helicopter.
When you drop in at your Blackburn Unit you’ll find lots of friendly faces waiting to welcome you aboard. The officers and instructors are all highly trained to make sure you enjoy every aspect of Sea Cadet life – a cut above the local youth club. If you like what you see, and you’re aged 12-18, you can join as a Cadet and start learning the Navy way of life, earning promotion up to Cadet Petty Officer, really the tops!
So if you’re bored with computer games and TV, why not try a taste of the real thing. Don’t miss out on a chance to make the most of your quality time – get a bit of the action.
